The context

Acts 7 is Stephen's speech before the council, a retelling of Israel's history from Abraham to the temple. The Moses section is the longest, covering the rescue from the Nile, the education in Egypt, the killing of the Egyptian, the flight to Midian and the burning bush. Verse 22 sits at the start of that section.

What it establishes

Stephen presents Moses as equipped by the dominant culture and still rejected by his own people. The detail serves the speech's pattern: the deliverer God prepares is the one the people refuse. Education in Egypt is not treated as contamination but as part of the preparation.

What it does not establish

It does not describe a curriculum. The verse is a summary claim inside a speech, not a record of what Moses studied, and the Hebrew Bible says nothing of it. Nor does the line endorse Egyptian wisdom as a source of truth. It reports standing and capability, not doctrine.

Short note, first pass, October 2026. Corrections welcome.
