Mark 13:32
The context
Jesus sits on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple and answers questions about the destruction of the building and the end of the age. The chapter warns against false messiahs and sets out signs. Verse 32 closes that section by denying knowledge of the timing to everyone but the Father.
What it establishes
It establishes that the timing of the end is not disclosed, and that the denial is emphatic: not the angels, not the Son, but the Father. It also establishes that watchfulness, not calculation, is the appropriate response, which is what the following verses command.
What it does not establish
It does not establish that Jesus was ignorant of everything about the end. The sentence is limited to the day and hour, and the same discourse gives signs and commands. Nor does it resolve how this fits with full deity; the church has argued that.
