Matthew 11:27
The context
Jesus is speaking after the messengers from John the Baptist have come and gone, in a passage that pronounces judgment on unresponsive towns and then turns to thanksgiving. Verses 25 to 27 form a unit: the Father has hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to infants, and the Son is the one who reveals.
What it establishes
It establishes a claim of exclusive mediation: knowledge of the Father is given by the Son, and the Son is known only by the Father. The language of mutual knowledge is stronger than anything in the earlier Gospels and is often called Johannine in tone.
What it does not establish
It does not say how that knowledge is given. The verse states the exclusivity and stops. It names no mechanism, no institution, and no text, and it does not describe what the content of the knowledge is beyond the relation of Father and Son itself.
