Romans 3:2

The context

Paul has been asking what advantage the Jew has, and answers that there is much in every way. The first item is that Israel was entrusted with God's oracles. He then raises the objection that Israel's unbelief would nullify God's faithfulness, and rejects it in the strongest terms.

What it establishes

It establishes that Israel's role as custodian of revelation is real and is not cancelled by the failure of some within Israel. The advantage is genuine and is named first among others Paul does not enumerate here.

What it does not establish

It does not make that advantage salvific. Paul goes on in the same chapter to say that all, Jew and Greek alike, are under sin, and he denies that possession of the oracles confers standing. The verse names a stewardship, not a status that exempts anyone from judgment.
